The class sizes vary depending on the program. In our Splash Baby Program, the maximum class size is 8 babies, who get into the pool with a parent or guardian. Our Adult Learn to Swim Lessons typically have 4 students only, while our private swimming lessons are obviously down to a one-on-one ratio!

For baby swimmers, we require a fitted reusable aqua nappy in the water. These are available from Waterwise Swim School or most supermarkets. Children need snug-fitting swimwear and a pair of goggles. We also recommend swim caps or fabric caps for children with long hair.

We take every lesson seriously, and if you have concerns about your child’s lessons or progress, we welcome you to discuss these with our instructors. We assure you that we are committed to each child learning and progressing to the absolute best of their potential and we are always on hand to discuss your child’s specific needs. As always, we’re only a phone call away, so please contact us if you’d like to discuss your child’s progress.

For the Splash Baby Swim Program, the minimum age is 6 weeks (we recommend starting after the first vaccinations). Parents or carers will be required to be in the pool with their child until the child reaches at least 3 years of age. At this point we can discuss whether your child can transition to parent-free lessons. Rest assured, our gentle approach will ease this transition for first-time solo swimmers who are anxious.
