Newsletter Term 2, 2019

WELCOME back to Term 2 swimming! And a very warm welcome to all the new families joining us this term!

We hope you all had a lovely Easter break and are refreshed and ready for the exciting term ahead.

As Autumn is drawing to an end and the days are getting colder, we encourage you all to be bringing warmer clothes to rug up after swimming lessons. Feel free to bring a hairdryer too - there are plugs for use just outside of the First Aid room.

Please join us at our Biggest Morning Tea next week at morning lessons Monday to Friday, 20th to 24th May - 8.30 am to 11.30 am.

Feel free to bring a friend or relative in for a free lesson (subject to availability in morning sessions) and to join us for nibbles and tea/coffee.

Please RSVP at Reception for catering purposes.

Remember to bring some gold coins as we are raising funds for the Cancer Council. Thank you!

Learning how to be safe in the water is very important and here at Waterwise Swim School we pride ourselves on finding fun ways to incorporate this into our lessons through songs and teachings.

Here are the top 3 skills we teach to get your child waterwise:

1. Back float

2. Learning to get back to the edge, steps or platform

3. Back kick to get to safety

Congratulations to Jun Chai who referred two new students in the Mother's Day promotion and was the lucky winner of our hamper, drawn by Ella Perry on Mother's Day. Thank you to all the families who participated!

Notice of illness must be received 3 hours or more before your scheduled lesson time. We will do our best to schedule makeups so everyone gets the lessons they have paid for but makeups are scheduled subject to availability. Your flexibility will help us to ensure all makeups are filled.

Swim School App:

The App is used sparingly (we won't spam you!) for short, important messages that need to go to every family, for example reminders of Term dates. If you haven't downloaded it yet, search "Waterwise Swim School" in itunes App Store or Google Play. Please make sure you have notifications enabled!

Customer Portal:

The Customer Portal is where you can check all your enrolment details, notify us of an absence (so long as it is more than 3 hours before your scheduled lesson time), and where you can book makeups. There is a tab linking to the Customer Portal in the App, or you can use the link below:

Social Media:

Thank you to all the parents and family members who follow and interact with us online! Your support helps us to reach more families in our community.
